The UConn Bouldering Competition offers participants the opportunity to challenge each other, and to climb some of our CC Route Setters’ most creative bouldering problems.
Climbers of all skills levels are welcome, this event is designed for maximum fun and camaraderie, in which winning takes a backseat to the love of the climb!
All competitors will receive an event t-shirt and the top 3 male and female climbers will receive a prize!
To allow for more Climbers to participate, this year’s competition will be a weeklong event!
Climbers will submit their score by snapping a picture of the QR code and entering the climbs that they completed and the amount of faults they had that day! Top 5 climbs will be counted towards your overall score.

Student Recreation Center Access
The University is taking student health and wellness very seriously by significantly limiting access to the Student Recreation Center to students living on-campus or participating in on-campus classes.
Students who are living off-campus and taking all classes on-line are not able to access the Student Recreation Center this fall. Off-campus students, however, are able to access all virtual programs and services offered by UConn Recreation.
New Recreation Center
Construction is complete on UConn's dynamic new three-story, 191,000 square foot Student Recreation Center. The Design Phase began in October 2015 with program input from students, staff and the Student Advisory Committee. The new Student Recreation Center was built from a $100 million project budget, conforms to Connecticut High Performance Building Code regulations and will be registered as a LEED GOLD project.

Hi everyone! My name is Julia and I’m currently a master’s student studying Elementary Education. This is my second semester teaching spin at the uconn rec and I’ve loved every minute of it! Spin has always been one of my favorite cardio workouts so having the opportunity to teach it has been unreal!! During my undergraduate time at uconn I was on the women’s field hockey team 🏑and each day spin reminds me that I’m still part of a team! Every class is a chance for us to build strength and grow together through hard work with a fire playlist. I’ve taken some of the most amazing classes at uconn like functional training, 50/50, and now yogalates! Every rec instructor is so empowering and motivating that working with them never really feels like work.
