A naming opportunity offers a rare but very visible way to connect with the University and all who enter or pass by a building. It becomes a lifelong connection. The opening of the new Student Recreation Center is a transformational project that will connect the UConn community for many generations of Huskies.
This is a most rare opportunity: to attach a name to a student space. The new 191,000 square foot Student Recreation Center is located in the epicenter of campus. The building physical design and layout are reflective of the students’ visions: welcoming, inclusive, and available to all.
Certainly, the most visible naming opportunity is the building itself. Other key destinations are the Climbing Center, Gymnasiums, Mind and Body Studio, Fitness studios, and Aquatics Center. Gathering spaces to use a laptop or be with friends between exercise and class, function areas and meeting rooms offer other availabilities to be recognized.
