Description: ZumbaTHON 2021 will be our first ever ZumbaTHON outdoors in the fall! Join us for a fun day while supporting the children and families at Connecticut Children's! Zumba will be taught by licensed UConn Rec instructors; we'll have giveaways, tables, refreshments, and more!
Registration: Donate $5 before the event, or $8 at the event. All registration fees go back to individual Donor Drives!

Indoor Triathlon [Completed]
Date: Saturday, March 27, 2021
Time: 8:00AM
Description: UConn Rec presents Indoor Triathlon! Participants are allowed to compete in this triathlon individually or as a team of 3. The event consists of a 500 yard pool swim -> 8 mile stationary bike -> 2 mile treadmill run. Indoor Triathlon is open to anyone with UConn Rec access. All finishers will receive a participation t-shirt, sweat towel, and a water bottle! More prizes for the top finishers!

Climb 2020′ Challenge
Dates: November 2 - 8, 2020
Details: Can you climb 2020 feet in one week? Take our challenge at the UConn Climbing Center! All new climbers must register for, attend, and complete a 15 minute Basic Climbing Center Orientation prior to participating.
Prizes!: Participants receive a "Get Over 2020" T-Shirt for all who climb 2020 feet!

Bubble Soccer
Sometimes the best offense is a good defense! The rules are the same as normal soccer…except all players are in giant inflatable bubble suits trying to knock down their opponents. Bubble Soccer is a popular 4 on 4 tournament played in the Shenkman Football facility the Friday night of Spring weekend.
Huskies Forever 5K
UConn Recreation and UConn Alumni team up to host the annual Homecoming 5K event during Huskies Forever Weekend. All are welcome to participate in this closed road, certified, and chip timed 5K that takes runners, joggers, and walkers through the heart of UConn’s campus. For future Huskies there is also a Lil’ Huskies Kids K that takes place on the Sherman Track. All participants receive medals, t-shirts, goodie bags and an awesome post-race buffet breakfast!
Road Dogs
UConn Rec Road Dogs is a community of runners that will get you ready to meet your race day goals. Whether you are new to running and looking to tackle your first long distance race or you are a seasoned runner, our group will offer something to benefit all levels and abilities. Fun, camaraderie, and motivation will always be our focus. Students, Staff, Faculty, Alumni, & Community are all welcome to participate!
No Man's Land Film Festival
Set your sights on adventure as UConn Rec’s Outdoor team hosts a screening of the No Man's Land Film Festival - the premier all-women adventure film festival based out of Denver, Colorado. This event is in celebration of the powerful women and gender nonconforming athletic communities that are leading change!

ZumbaTHON
Traditionally held the weekend prior to HuskyTHON, UConn Rec’s team of ZUMBA instructors takes over the Field House with fun and fitness to kick off HuskyTHON week. This 4-hour, non-stop dance party is sure to get your heart pumping for a great cause!
Canoe Battleship
Six Canoes Enter…Only One Finishes Floating! It’s a wild, crazy, wet week in the UConn Rec Pool as crews of four try to sink each other’s battleship. Armed with Buckets, Shields, and Water Cannons each team will do what it takes to stay afloat or be sent to Davy Jones’ Locker.
Glow Up the Night 5K
Ready, Set, Glow! It is an annual tradition to kickoff Spring Weekend in style on this closed road, certified, and chip timed 5K that takes place just after sunset. This nighttime event takes runners dressed in neon, glow necklaces/glow bracelets, and glow sticks around campus and back to our post-race party on Fairfield Way. All participants receive medals, t-shirts, goodie bags, and items that glow in the dark!
OOzeball
UConn Student Alumni Association, UConn Rec and UConn Alumni team up each year to host this annual Spring Weekend mud volleyball tournament on the fields behind North Campus. OOzeball has been a celebrated tradition for 40 years at UConn and was previously chosen by Sports Illustrated as the “Best Mud Volleyball” in the country. This all day tourney is a Bucket List event for UConn Students and is on everyone’s “Must Do” list before graduation!
