Hiring Process
UConn Rec has two major recruitment periods. The fall recruitment period identifies employment opportunities for Winter Break and Spring Semester. The spring recruitment period details the job opportunities for the Summer (May-August) and Fall Semester. Applications are only accepted during the designated recruitment period. Once the period begins, our online application opens. At that time you are asked to complete the application and submit your resume. Keep in mind, you will be asked to specify which department you would like to work in.

Hiring for Summer Break & Fall Semester!
The process of applying for a job at UConn Recreation begins with completing an online application.
The application portal for Summer and Fall Semester 2026 will open Monday, February 23.
- Our employment portal will only be open during this recruitment period, Monday, Feb. 23-Sunday, Mar. 1.
- For a full list of available openings per work area, please check the list at the bottom of this page.
- Once you submit your application, you will receive an automated message. If you don't see the message within a few minutes, it means that your application didn't go through. Check your application again.
- Qualified candidates will be contacted by a UConn Recreation staff member via Email to schedule an interview. Interviews are being conducted February 25 through March 4.
- It is recommended that you bring your resume to the interview. (The Center for Career Readiness and Life Skills has staff available to assist in resume preparation)
